Kajian Kurikulum TIK di SD Paramount School

. Profil SD PARAMOUNT Palembang

Sekolah Dasar (SD) Paramount Palembang adalah salah satu lembaga pendidikan tingkat dasar yang berdomisili di Jalan M.P. Mangkunegara No. 16-20 Palembang. SD Paramount Palembang didirikan oleh sebuah unsur masyarakat (swasta) dan dikelola oleh sebuah lembaga yang bernama Yayasan Harapan Bangsa Sriwijaya Palembang yang salah satu tujuannya adalah untuk turut berperan serta meningkatkan mutu pendidikan dasar khususnya di Kota Palembang. SD Paramount Palembang didirikan pada tahun 2000, relatif baru, dan telah 3 (tiga) kali meluluskan siswanya untuk melanjutkan ke jenjang SMP. Struktur organisasi SD Paramount Palembang antara lain, dipimpin oleh seorang kepala sekolah, 35 orang tenaga pendidik (guru) dan 5 (lima) orang tenaga administrasi, 15 (limabelas) helper dan 270 (dua ratus tujuh puluh) orang siswa yang terdiri atas kelas 1 sampai dengan kelas 6. Seluruh tenaga pendidik dan tenaga administrasi adalah diangkat sepenuhnya oleh Yayasan Harapan Bangsa Sriwijaya.. SD Paramount Palembang dalam aktifitasnya telah melaksanakan proses belajar mengajar sesuai dengan peraturan pemerintah, dibawah pengawasan dan pembinaan Kantor Cabang Dinas Pendidikan Pemuda dan Olahraga (Disdikpora) Kecamatan Kalidoni Palembang. Adapun keadaan infrastruktur sekolah antara lain; memiliki 17 (tujuh belas) ruang belajar, 4 (empat) ruang kantor, 1 (satu) ruang praktikum komputer, 1 (satu) ruang serba guna, 1 (satu) ruang seni dan kreasi 1 (satu) pos keamanan. 1(satu ) ruang perpustakaan, 1 (satu) ruang makan, 1 (satu) ruang kantin, kolam renang, lapangan futsal, lapangan basket,

3. Aktifitas Pembelajaran TIK di SD Paramount Palembang

SD Paramount Palembang dalam pembelajarannya telah menggunakan kurikulum berbasis kompetensi sejak tahun 2005 dan telah menerapkan Kurikulum Tingkat Satuan Pendidikan, sebagaimana yang diamanatkan oleh pemerintah. Disamping itu juga, SD Paramount Palembang mengadopsi kurikulum internasional serta tergabung dalam Association of A National Plus School bertaraf Internasional.. Berdasarkan pengamatan pembelajaran TIK di SD Paramount diberikan selam dua jam pelajaran dan juga diberikan pada ekstrakurikuler yang dilakukan setelah jam pelajaran sekolah selesai. Perekrutan terhadap guru dilakukan dengan cukup ketat dengan melalui beberapa tes baik itu tes secara kemampuan dan tes secara psikologi. Berdasarkan pengamatan, program pembelajaran TIK yang diberikan bertahap sesuai dengan umur dan kemampuan masing-masing siswa, serta ditunjang dengan sarana prasarana yang cukup memadai seperti ruang kelas yang dilengkapi dengan pendingin ruangan, pencahayaan yang baik, ruangan kelas yang bersih dan juga didukung dengan peralatan computer yang cukup canggih terdiri dari 13 komputer Pentium 4 dan 10 komputer dual core serta dilengkapi dengan LCD infocus dan jaringan internet unlimited acces (tanpa batas). Sumber daya manusia yaitu guru juga didukung kemampuan mengajar dan kemampuan menguasai peralatan computer dan jaringan yang baik serta didukung dengan media belajar yang cukup baik dan kompeten sehingga dapat membantu dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar dan siswa dapat memahami dengan lebih cepat dan baik. Dukungan yang diberikan orang tua juga sangat membantu karena mereka memfasilitasi masing-masing siswa dengan peralatan yang dapat dimanfaatkan siswa secara optimal, misalnya siswa disiapkan perangkat komputer lengkap dengan printernya, flash disc, CD.
Berdasarkan hasil observasi, bahwa keunggulan yang diperoleh oleh siswa SD Paramount Palembang dengan dilaksanakannya program TIK tersebut adalah mereka memperoleh suatu pengetahuan, ketrampilan dan sikap penguasaan dalam bidang teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang dapat menambah kemampuan mereka untuk memenuhi kebutuhannya, terutama untuk memperoleh ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Hasil pekerjaan yang didapatkan dari kegiatan TIK diantaranya diapresiasi pengelola sekolah dengan ditampilkan di Mading (majalah dinding). Disamping itu ada beberapa kelemahan pada kegiatan TIK di SD Paramount Palembang, antara lain; adanya beberapa siswa yang kurang memperhatikan materi pelajaran yang lain, terutama pada saat mereka sedang ber-internet.
Program pembelajaran TIK di SD Paramount Palembang sudah dilaksanakan pada tahun ajaran 2000-2001 (sejak sekolah ini beroperasi untuk pertama kalinya). Sementara itu, silabus yang digunakan pada pembelajaran TIK sudah memenuhi standar untuk anak-anak seusia sekolah dasar, bahkan ada beberapa siswa yang telah memiliki kemampuan diatas rata-rat siswa yang lainnya, yaitu disamping telah menguasai beberapa program dasar (word, excel) mereka juga sudah dapat berinternet dan ber-facebook. Kegiatan pembelajaran TIK di SD Paramount Palembang dimulai sejak kelas 1 (satu) sampai dengan kelas 6 (enam). Jadual belajar rata-rata 2 (dua) jam perminggu yang disusun secara bergantian, tempat pembelajaran adalah diruang belajar khusus.





B. HASIL KAJIAN LAPANGAN IMPLEMENTASI TIK di SD PARAMOUNT PALEMBANG
1. Kerangka Dasar dan Struktur Kurikulum
Berdasarkan analisis terhadap hasil temuan lapangan dalam implementasi TIK, ditemukan beberapa aspek yang menjadi kendala pelaksanaannya secara efektif. Kendala-kendala tersebut sebagai berikut :
a. Pelaksaaan mata pelajaran TIK di Sekolah-sekolah (SD/MI) pada umumnya tidak memiliki guru khusus untuk pelajaran tersebut, sehingga pelaksanaan pelajaran TIK kurang memenuhi tuntutan kurikulum, Sebaiknya pelaksanaan mata pelajaran TIK di SD/MI dilakukan oleh guru-guru yang memiliki kualifikasi keahlian bidang tersebut.
b. Pelaksanaan mata pelajaran TIK dalam struktur kurikulum SD/MI, mata pelajaran TIK hanya dialokasikan 2 jam pelajaran per minggu, padahal konten TIK membutuhkan jumlah jam lebih banyak untuk mengakomodasi pembelajaran. Sebaiknya jumlah alokasi jam pelajaran untuk TIK ditambah menjadi minimal 4 jam pelajaran per minggu.
c. Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran TIK di kelas I s.d III tidak berjalan sesuai dengan ketentuan kurikulum, karena guru-guru mengalami kesulitan dalam menyusun silabus sesuai dengan Standar Kompetensi (SK) dan Kompetensi Dasar (KD) yang ditetapkan dalam kurikulum. Selain itu guru-guru mengalami kesulitan dalam mengalokasikan waktu yang harus dipergunakan dalam seminggu, karena tidak ada ketentuan alokasi waktu untuk setiap tema yang ditetapkan. Hal ini disebabkan guru-guru belum memahami esensi dan praktek pembelajaran TIK. Mereka umumnya belum mendapat pelatihan yang cukup memadai dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran TIK. Sebaiknya guru kelas I s.d III mendapat pelatihan khusus dalam “pola in house training” secara menyeluruh sebagai pembekalan teknis untuk melaksanakan pembelajaran TIK sesuai dengan ketentuan Standar Isi.
d. Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran TIK di SD mengalami kesulitan karena kurang tersedianya sarana dan prasarana pelajaran TIK itu sendiri, seperti buku-buku referensi baik untuk guru maupun bagi siswa, komputer sebagai sesuatu yang harus ada terkadang juga tidak dimiliki sekolah dan kalaupun ada terkendalanya akibat ketikdaktersediannya jaringan listrik bagi sekolah tersebut.

V. KESIMPULAN DAN REKOMENDASI
A. KESIMPULAN
Berdasarkan hasil analisis terhadap temuan kajian kurikulum dan implementasi TIK SD yang dijelaskan di atas, maka dapat disimpulkan :
1). Dari segi kurikulum, khususnya yang terkait dengan kerangka dasar dan struktur kurikulum serta beban belajar masih memiliki kelemahan terutama dari segi kontennya. 2). Dilihat dari pelaksanaannya, masih ditemukan berbagai kendala terutama mengenai pelaksanaan pembelajaran TIK, yaitu:
a. Indikator penilaian pengembangan diri dan sistem penilaiannya.
b. Kurangnya alokasi waktu yang diberikan untuk mata pelajaran TIK.
c. Kurangnya guru yang berlatar belakang TIK.
d. Kurangnya sarana dan prasarana pembelajaran TIK.

B. REKOMENDASI
Rekomendasi dalam laporan hasil kajian ini mencakup untuk kepentingan jangka pendek dan jangka panjang.
Rekomendasi Jangka Pendek disampaikan sebagai berikut:
1. Perlu ada diversifikasi penggunaan kalimat atau kata dalam menetapkan cakupan kompetensi mata pelajaran TIK untuk jenjang SD.
2. Perlu diberikan panduan pelaksanaan teknis operasional yang lebih spesifik tentang konsep pengembangan TIK dan sistem penilaiannya.
3. Perlu disediakan guru khusus untuk mata pelajaran TIK.
4. Perlu adanya pelatihan khusus pembelajaran TIK untuk guru SD/MI yang mengajar di kelas I-III.
5. Perlu pengembangan SK dan KD untuk kelas I-III SD/MI sesuai dengan tema yang ditetapkan untuk masing-masing tingkatan kelas. Perlu penambahan jam belajar untuk mata pelajaran TIK.
6. Perlu penambahan jam belajar untuk mata pelajaran TIK.
7. Perlu pengadaan sarana dan prasarana pembelajaran TIK untuk SD khususnya komputer, jaringan listrik sekolah ataupun buku-buku referensi.

Rekomendasi jangka panjang disampaikan sebagai berikut :
1. Penyusunan kurikulum SD/MI masa depan harus lebih disesuaikan dengan struktur ilmu pendidikan (pedagogik) dan perkembangan psikologis siswa.
2. Standar kompetensi dan Kompetensi Dasar bagi anak SD/MI perlu lebih ditekankan pada tahap pengenalan dan menumbuh-kembangkan dasar-dasar kompetensi yang diperlukan sesuai dengan tingkat perkembangan psikologis usia peserta didik.

MOTIVATION, THE HEART OF SELF IMPROVEMENT

Pain may sometimes be the reason why people change. Getting flunked grades make us realize that we need to study. Debts remind us of our inability to look for a source of income. Being humiliated gives us the ‘push’ to speak up and fight for ourselves to save our face from the next embarrassments. It may be a bitter experience, a friend’s tragic story, a great movie, or an inspiring book that will help us get up and get just the right amount of motivation we need in order to improve ourselves.

With the countless negativities the world brings about, how do we keep motivated? Try on the tips I prepared from A to Z…

A - Achieve your dreams. Avoid negative people, things and places. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, “the future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

B - Believe in your self, and in what you can do.

C – Consider things on every angle and aspect. Motivation comes from determination. To be able to understand life, you should feel the sun from both sides.

D – Don’t give up and don’t give in. Thomas Edison failed once, twice, more than thrice before he came up with his invention and perfected the incandescent light bulb. Make motivation as your steering wheel.

E – Enjoy. Work as if you don’t need money. Dance as if nobody’s watching. Love as if you never cried. Learn as if you’ll live forever. Motivation takes place when people are happy.

F – Family and Friends – are life’s greatest ‘F’ treasures. Don’t loose sight of them.

G – Give more than what is enough. Where does motivation and self improvement take place at work? At home? At school? When you exert extra effort in doing things.

H – Hang on to your dreams. They may dangle in there for a moment, but these little stars will be your driving force.

I – Ignore those who try to destroy you. Don’t let other people to get the best of you. Stay out of toxic people – the kind of friends who hates to hear about your success.

J – Just be yourself. The key to success is to be yourself. And the key to failure is to try to please everyone.

K – keep trying no matter how hard life may seem. When a person is motivated, eventually he sees a harsh life finally clearing out, paving the way to self improvement.
L – Learn to love your self. Now isn’t that easy?

M – Make things happen. Motivation is when your dreams are put into work clothes.

N – Never lie, cheat or steal. Always play a fair game.

O – Open your eyes. People should learn the horse attitude and horse sense. They see things in 2 ways – how they want things to be, and how they should be.

P – Practice makes perfect. Practice is about motivation. It lets us learn repertoire and ways on how can we recover from our mistakes.

Q – Quitters never win. And winners never quit. So, choose your fate – are you going to be a quitter? Or a winner?

R – Ready yourself. Motivation is also about preparation. We must hear the little voice within us telling us to get started before others will get on their feet and try to push us around. Remember, it wasn’t raining when Noah build the ark.

S – Stop procrastinating.

T – Take control of your life. Discipline or self control jives synonymously with motivation. Both are key factors in self improvement.

U – Understand others. If you know very well how to talk, you should also learn how to listen. Yearn to understand first, and to be understood the second.

V – Visualize it. Motivation without vision is like a boat on a dry land.

W – Want it more than anything. Dreaming means believing. And to believe is something that is rooted out from the roots of motivation and self improvement.

X – X Factor is what will make you different from the others. When you are motivated, you tend to put on “extras” on your life like extra time for family, extra help at work, extra care for friends, and so on.

Y – You are unique. No one in this world looks, acts, or talks like you. Value your life and existence, because you’re just going to spend it once.

Z – Zero in on your dreams and go for it!!!
